design design design

phew! currently i am doing costume design for a musical production in my youth ministry. finally got the first part of costume discussion done. it's been a while since i did inspiration boards and design. but it is so exciting!! sooo many types of costumes and its such a wonderful thing to explore! aahh...just loving the time where i can design and get back to work!

will be pretty packed next week as well - for jack and yen's wedding, my family will be down for new year YAY! and making a evening dress for myself :) :) plus making a dress for a friend as well. phew really quite a lot of things in hand. co-ordinating, arranging, construction of the musical costumes is a lot too ~~ cant wait for fabric shopping HEHE

haven't really started sending in resumes for job....not sure when is the right time to do so, as i want to start only after CNY. sigh...i need $$ and next two months is where the economy crisis is gonna hit more. well, God will watch over me :) and i will still send in resumes.

aah...i just feel like doing something creativeee..XD XD....i dont mind freelance but its SO NOT easy. tomoro? i just wanna relaxxxx *winkz

christmas is not just about santa claus,gifts or carols but its a time to reflect on the birth of our Savior, Jesus who came down as human being and gave us salvation. :)

to me, Christmas is such a sweet sweet festive season. Being able to gather with friends for Christmas is just beautiful. :)

went on a last minute gifts shopping today. told myself i wouldnt spend too much on gifts but in the end i DID. haha its the joy of giving and seeing the smile on their faces! :D :D going to soho mont kiara later to celebrate christmas eve with my moc babes. but had to wait a friend to fetch so will be very late. sigh. well, nothing much lately - just really busy designing for easter production next year. its so much fun doing it, makes me feel like i'm back at college. it's been a while since i'm on with my creative juices. YEAH thank God i'm motivated now! :D

birthday!

16december was my birthday. really didn't feel much excitement. like birthdays are just birthdays. nothing much wat. hmm. my friends kept asking me what i wanna do. however, i'm really happy to know my friends cares. :)

so in the end, siew din and joan brought me to waikiki bar. wow i had a wonderful time there. thank you besties! the music was great, first time had a band sang a birthday song to me. i felt like going back to 70s there. haha u guys know i'm a classic. :D wanna say thanks to all who wished me as well - sms,facebook etc. my 22nd birthday. the next day went to shopping with karen. thanks for the treat. :)

i came back from the fga tpg lumut camp one week ago. it wasn't easy conducting a teens and kids camp. but overall, i experienced so much and thank God for that. :D i also learnt a lot from estee and say chueen, my room mates. they're above my age and has experience more than me. even working with other committee members, i learnt something from each of them. it was really a lot of fun! hahahaha and also realised its hard to keep up with them.they have so much energy!geez am i getting old?sheesh.on the last night, we had battle of breakdancing. everyone dance sini sana suka hati sajer lols.

i worked for PIKOM for the last time.in pc fair.will miss them so much.working in PIKOM was definitely fun.they were all great colleagues!!it wasn't easy to leave the job because i really love working with my colleagues but can't stand the job scope.on the last day of pc fair, laugh so much with louise,agnes, and ralph during mamak. man gonna miss those! dulu ader curi ketawa, skrg ader ambik ketawa, kutip ketawa and buang ketawa!!lols, u all noe wat i am talking about.hehe

my next coming up events are jack & yen's wedding. so much to prepare for the church wedding decor. yen, i know you put so much effort in the decor, i will not disappoint you!! so later today i'm going out to buy the materials needed and prepare all the things needed for the decor. there is also a lot to be done for easter production 2009. God, make my commitment to the fullest! the progress is a lil bit slow due to everyone's schedule and i admit i didn't really put much effort unto it yet due to my many commitments. i will have to set my priorities right and commit things i can commit. sometimes too much things, its hard to focus.

phew.i'm jobless now but i have things in hand. another task making a dress for a friend and also myself. haha hopefully discipline will follow me! ngek ngek. meanwhile of course i'm looking for a job as well.

hehe...get to utilize office's internet for blogging.

streamyx is already up in my new house but couldn't set up the router- so can only online from the modem. And my sister is constantly on the internet. I only use it to check email for like 10 mins. Tomorrow I’ll be going back to taiping, need to prepare for FGA Taiping MORE camp. The camp is from 6-9th December.

Final report for Conference is done, gave it to the client. CLOSED! Finally, then my boss don’t have to be bothered by the finance dept and also don’t have to call me to clarify things. But she already *reserved* one job spot for me. sweat. KL PC Fair 11th-14th. Reserved!! Nvmla, since I’m still looking for job and predict I can start new job on jan, ill take it la. Hopefully, really can find a new job by end of Dec. :/

I’ll be back to KL on 10th then. Lotsa things on hand also. must have good time management~~!! :)

im still blogging, dont worry haha. disappeared some time but...finally get to blog a lil...

i've stopped my temporary job but still...getting calls from my boss asking about certain things. aha and she needs me back at the office next tues for half day, help her settle some stuff. geez. past few days, i've moved in to my new place - Pelangi Utama, very near to one utama. so then while waiting for streamyx to activate, i have no internet access. dont ask me about wireless places, apparently its quite a hassle to bring this gadget to oldtown kopitiam or starbucks.

and yah, without internet - its hard for me to keep updated on church activities i'm involved in. Thank God i've found out transportation of going out from my place. before this, really hard for me to get out at all. apparently, i have one secret - well not exactly a secret, just that nobody asks. haha. i can't really drive on my own - my driving skills really pretty bad. so now i'm on training, drive to near places and where's there no like - 3 o 4 lanes. ;/ so indirectly, i'm good in exploring public transports on getting around. i've gotten so used to it!

today my relatives from singapore came down for a visit. about three weeks i've not gone to church. last weekend was my cousin's wedding. next wednesday ill be going back taiping for FGA Taiping camp at Lumut. will be back around 11th and proceed in helping yen and jack for their wedding on jan. and preparing portfolio for my job-seeking adventure! :D

few dresses to make for friends as well ;) im still learning but its fun.

hey peeps! sorrylah...6 days didn't update. back nowla. I'll tell why now. >_<

past two weeks was absolutely hectic for me. don't even have time to stop and do something else. even leaving the computer for toilet is going to eat my time of finishing my work. yeah that's how bad it is!

as i mentioned earlier in my previous post, I'm assisting in the Outsourcing Malaysia Conference. It's on 11th Nov, so practically a week before that - it was meeting, meeting, meeting and had to prepare everything beforehand for registration procedures. and to make sure there's NO mistakes. And had to follow-up on payments and all, last minute registration too. Gah I was really stress to the max, plus nervous, worried, almost cried because the damn finance dept. A day before the event, I'm already working like hell to get everything prim and proper for the event, that fark-up finance asked me to photostat all registration forms for them so they could issue invoices and close account. crazy. at this hour, u ask me do work samore?! i complained to my superior and she said can ask them go die. lols, that was funny. nice to know my boss is on my side. :D i went over to KL Convention Centre at about 9pm...went home around 12. next morning reached at 7am. fuh. registration went well, thank God! after registration, i can finally relax a lil, around 9am - people already went in for the workshop or conference ad. for the next two days also like that lah, relax, talk and eat.

Overall, the Conference went well I would say. Feedbacks are good. Most people are easy to handle. And they all know me because I've liaise with them earlier on. :D The food was good too. lols. finally- all my hard work has paid off. I'm really satisfied with my job - that i've manage to sell the Conference and they turned up for the event. And whatever matters or issues arises, I managed it. Really really thank God for His hands was upon me. :) I've learned a lot through the difficulties and busy period.

We had appreciation gathering after the last day of event, went to REDBOX plus! woot! it was tiring but fun ~~ my colleagues all sporting and cool wan lah haha. plus the upper management people - directors all also sporting. thats fun. :D will post up pics soon. hehe

i just moved into my new house..my family is down in kl. haven't been spending time with them at all due to my work schedule. sigh and tomorrow got meeting for MORE camp and sunday got meeting for Easter production. GOSH. I might not be able to make it for both as this week my family is going back taiping soon and I just...just really wanted to accompany them to my cousin's hse in klang, spend some time with them before they go back taiping.
i just really needed to......rest.sobs.

i don't know and not sure how am i goin to make these decisions. everything is important, from MORE camp to easter production and my family. I really want to commit to God's work as well and i AM committed...oh God please help me..

Everything will turn out fine I guess. It always does with Him around. :) I can manage anything because HE is possible.

I’m done with telemarketing. Next Tuesday already is the Conference, want market samore?? Anyway, we got a new colleague; eventually she will be doing the telemarketing. Muahahaha. I sit and wait people to enquire, wait registration come in. LOLS! So “BIG” like that la. Ngek ngek. You reap what you sow ma…I made so many calls ad – now is the reward time la. Lol. Nevertheless, I still have lots of work to do despite one burden down. =.=’
Mom coming down today.yay! and we’re going to buy furniture tomorrow for the new house! Off day also besok! Wakaka cuz have to go college collect gown so mintak cuti. Gaha. Today go back still need to pack la, but okayla – 70% completed. :D

yesterday met up with my younger godbro which I haven't seen for quite some time. Eventually he went to join singapore airlines(something I never expected him to do! XD) So he had 3 days off, but we met for dinner, a short one as he has to rush to some other place and going back this morning. funny how he describe his experience - "oklar, its just a job, nothing much la." Geez and I always thought flying was fun! cuz u get to travel and see other countries! right?! :D haha, we've been like "unofficial" siblings since high school though. almost six yrs i think. time flies.XD

haiz..yesterday night was pretty stressed up about work. I guess when im not in office and in front of the computer, it gets nerve wrecking because in my mind I just want to settle those unresolved matters. man, its like addiction wei. ~.~ i dont wish to get all stressed up and my expression shows. its somehow nt comfortable for the people around me la.

ah.being strong is tiring. i wana let go where no one else is around. >_<

my job..

only today get to go online...past few days i was internet-less as i'm moving to a new place soon and the streamyx account is under my housemate, so he cut-off the line already.

geez...no TV, no internet - means no youtube as well. =.=' tidur ajer..

I’m actually assisting in an event called Outsourcing Malaysia Conference, organized by Outsourcing Malaysia (under PIKOM). It’s such a corporate, high-end event that I’m just not very used to it at first. Like lotsa documents plus information, I don’t really understand at all. *sweat. Not my field ma. Gaha.! First month I was assisting in preparation for PC Fair la, that was okay cuz just simple stuff needed to be done. But this conference, reli char dou. What the heck it is about, I really super blur at first, plus I’m suppose to attend to all enquiries regarding this. Omg.

After that, as I go along – don’t get it also MUST get it. Lol..now I understand and *smarter* about this ad la, can answer queries and handle la. I did telemarketing, try my hardest possible to get people to register for this event. Wah freaking two to three weeks of calling u noe! Until my ears like stucked. Overall, I’m in the marketing team. Oh wait, let me re-phrase, I’m THE marketing. I got no other marketing members. ~.~ each person in the Conference team handles different things. Besides that, of course handle registration, all marketing plans, follow-ups…etc etc :O

At one point of time, I really hated this job. Sux to the max. I felt such heavy pressure to get people to attend this conference. Like such BIG responsibility on my shoulder, to hit our target! Hate it! At night sleeping also I get frustrated about it. Dealing with some no-manners people are very the siennnzzz. Chasing people to settle matters also sien. Huh! The event is on 11-13 Nov. Now we’re nearing the event, 1 week more. It’s gona be super crazy in the office liao. Anyways, though I’ve worked in a place that’s totally out of my world, I guess after all I learned a lot. The pressure got some use. >> learn to work under pressure. XD

Now I think enough laa all these, after this, I’m off to chase my passion! Bridal has always been a passion. :D go back to my world la – fashion. Gehe XD XD. I’m dreamingggg ngek ngek.

P/S : my convocation is on 8th nov, moving on 10th nov, Conference on 11th-13th nov. it’s going to get crazy. I’m packing now, sooooooooo many things to pack. Ytd also slept at 2am. Gah.

im back to bloggin!lols, I read through my past posts, wow this blog has existed since 2004. almost 4 years!and 2008 is coming to an end now. Just feel want to come back and post things up again LOL

*come back* sounds funny, as if I’ve been on a really long journey around the world. Well, apparently life is a journey. :D what have been happening?

In short, after I finished my final semester, that’s like in march. During that month, I was helping out in Jon & Jen’s wedding, spent a month bumming at home. Haha. Now Jon & Jen gona have a baby boy soon! Geez, how time flies! I guess having this blog helps me to remember things I’ve gone through and how time has taken me to the different stages of life.

My old posts in 2004-2007 was all about my life in college – and man, I had a blast. College life are full of panic,joy,stress,sad,love, raving about my assignments,exams,lecturers,activities. Hahahaha. Every semester, I struggled to meet deadlines and numerous times of burning midnight oils. But, it’s a experience that moulds me now and these could never be bought. :)

In April, I went to japan with my family. It was beautiful, as it’s also the season of sakura! I experienced a totally different culture here from other places I’ve travelled to. It’s VERY clean and the people there are just EXTREMELY polite. XD Gooooood food, good hot spring bath, amazing sceneries, love the culture! But, working environment is pretty stressful and competitive there. Unlike here, we can relax. The principles there are : EFFICIENT & ON TIME! Haha. I stayed on at home until end of the month, suppose to join the TARC final fashion show but in the end, didn’t. Bcuz too much hassle to look for models and buy shoes. >_<

So in june and july, I was planning a freelance business with my coursemates but it didn’t work out. Lack of experience and resources. I decided that I should have a permanent job first. I worked part-time promoter in Phenomenal in August, that was seriously just a job to kill time. =.= Then while looking, in Sept PIKOM offered me a temporary job of 3 months, assisting them in events. I used to work for them in WCIT & PS3, corporate events. Since I haven’t got a job and the pay was quite good, so I agreed. Me and my so called “event-job-partner” went in together. Haha, I called her that because we’ve worked together in events and also hop from events to events. LOLS.

I’ll write about my job in the next post, too many to fit in one post. LOLs.

This passage relates to me about serving the Lord and fullfiling His will. Yesterday, Pastor Judah and Xiao Wen preached about answering God's calling and grew in it. I think this verses really spoke to me.

"I have served the Lord with great humility and with tears, although I was severely tested by the plots of Jews" - Acts 20:19

"However, I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me.........." - Acts 20:24

Langkawi wedding cum vacation
